Tsundoku is a Japanese word for the books you buy that either take up space around your home or are on your bookshelf to be read later. It could also refer to part of my decorating scheme.
Summer tends to be the season in which I make the most progress on whittling down my tsundoku. Itβs so easy to lose track of time with a good book and an equally good pool float; I can usually knock out 5 or 6 books during the course of the summer! Personally, I like to rotate between nonfiction (usually with some lesson to apply to the insurance industry or marketing), classic literature, and modern lit. Currently, Iβm being careful not to dunk the rather heavy Moon Witch, Spider King by Marlon James, which Iβm thoroughly enjoying because of the immersive world and female protagonist with shifting motives.
Iβm very far from the only avid reader on the Agency Revolution team. I loved seeing their recommendations for favorite books and have added a few to my list to buyβ¦with the intent to not let them pile up! Check out a few recos from our Mechanics:
